A man was reported missing in El Dabkar village in El Sonut locality of Sudan’s West Kordofan state on Wednesday evening.

The abducted was identified by local residents as Abdul-Aziz Abel-Ghani.

A source told Radio Tamazuj that Abel-Ghani was abducted from his house after being beaten by a militia that showed up in six Toyota Land Cruisers.

Several eyewitnesses have expressed concern about his whereabouts after he was taken to an unknown destination.

They said the man was being accused of spying for the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF) which is battling the Khartoum government.

The locals blamed the relevant authorities for failing to intervene and rescue Abdel-Ghani.
