Multiple sources told Radio Tamazuj that security officers confiscated print runs of Al-Tayar, Al-Youm Al-Tali and Al-Watan newspapers from the printing press without giving reasons.
The same sources pointed out that journalists working for Al-Jareeda and Al Maidan newspapers decided to suspend printing to protest the crackdown on newspapers for publishing reports on the nationwide civil disobedience.
For its part, the Sudanese Journalists Network (SJN) on Wednesday went on strike to protest the continued mass confiscations of newspapers.
