A shortage of life-saving drugs continues to challenge hospitals across Sudan, a member of parliament said.
Saleh Juma, acting chairperson of Sudan’s parliamentary committee for health and environment admitted that there are shortages of life-saving drugs despite efforts to ease their scarcity.
He revealed that there are measures taken by the government to control the sale of medicines in public and private pharmacies.
The legislator pointed out that they will meet with suppliers and members of the national council for drugs as well as the national ministry of health to control the rising prices of medicines in the country.
