Sudan govt wants to improve its radio and TV broadcasts

The state-run Sudan News Agency reports that the Council of Ministers' technical committee on Tuesday recommended more funding and technical assistance for the national TV and radio corporation in order to improve its programmes.

Ismat Ahmed Babikir, Undersecretary at the Presidency, chaired a committee that reviewed the performance report of the national TV for the fiscal 2014, submitted by Abdul Magid Haroon, the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Information.

“The committee commended the report and stressed the importance of the media and the need to increase the transmission hours to cover the neighbouring African [countries], and to change from analogue to digital transmission,” SUNA reported.
