Sudan govt team arrives in Addis for talks with SPLA-N

A delegation of the Sudanese delegation arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday for peace talks on the Two Areas of Blue Nile and South Kordofan, parts of which are controlled by rebel group SPLA-N.

A delegation of the Sudanese delegation arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday for peace talks on the Two Areas of Blue Nile and South Kordofan, parts of which are controlled by rebel group SPLA-N.

The African Union High-Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP) for Sudan, which mediates the talks, confirmed their arrival in a press statement.

The talks are expected to kick off today, according to the AUHIP headed by Thabo Mbeki, former president of South Africa.

A source in Addis Ababa confirmed to Radio Tamazuj the Sudanese government team is headed by Prof. Ibrahim Ghandour.
