The Sudanese military and forces of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) clashed in Al Hueira in Al Dibab in western South Kordofan. The rebels claim victory in the fight but this could not be independently verified. 

The field leader of Sudan Liberation Movement (Minawi faction)- western sector, Ibrahim Hamadalla Abdulmajeed, told Radio Tamazuj today that their forces clashed with Sudanese army in Al Hueira on Sunday morning, and that the Sudanese army sustained losses in lives and property, with 18 injured and 7 killed from the government side. 

"We the SLM clashed with the government of the National Congress Party at 2 in the morning in Elhueira and we caused them fatal losses in lives and machines in Eldibab. One Land Cruiser  mounted with a 12.7 mm heavy machine gun was destroyed. We also took over 7.39 machine guns and other guns. The NCP has between seventeen and nineteen wounded," said Abdulmajeed.

Radio Tamazuj was not be able to contact the Sudan government side to comment on the news.
