Sudan’s security agents are accused of arresting five youths in the wartorn state of South Kordofan on 15 October.

A source told Radio Tamazuj Friday that the imprisoned youths were arrested in Koya area and goldmines near Miri village and in Kadugli town and then taken to an unknown destination.

All the youths were seized on charges of spying for the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North, which is fighting the Khartoum government in South Kordofan and Blue Nile states.

The suspects were identified as Salam Khalifa, Somi Abdurrahman, Jubara El Nur, Amin Khamis, and Jido Khamis Kuwa.

Families of the accused said the detainees should be taken to court and charged or released immediately, according to the same source.
