Sudan has ordered the expulsion of four international aid organisations from the eastern region of the country.
A government official said authorities have asked the four organisations to stop operating in the east but they will still be allowed to stay in Sudan.
He said the Save the Children Sweden and an Irish children’s organisation are among those being asked to leave.
The move has come amid concerns about the humanitarian situation in parts of Sudan and the ability of organisations to access those on need of assistance, in remote areas or combat zones.
On Thursday the UN expressed concern and the inability of aid groups to access those in need in South Kordofan and Blue Nile.
