A woman was reported killed and two others including a child were wounded by bombs dropped last week by the Sudanese Air Force on Kurmuk locality in Sudan’s Blue Nile state.
An eyewitness told Radio Tamazuj that the incident took place in Wadaka village. The Sudanese Air Force bombed areas of Mayak, Yabus, and Wadaka on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday last week.
The same source confirmed that the bombing resulted in the killing of an elderly woman and wounding of a man including a child, besides loss of properties. The wounded were taken to Bunj Hospital for treatment.
The incident caused fear among local residents, forcing them to stopped farming. The conflict-affected people called on the international community to put pressure on the Khartoum government to stop targeting innocent civilians and allow humanitarian access in the war-affected areas in Blue Nile state.
