Sudan Armed Forces lay siege to Jebel Kalugu in Blue Nile

The spokesperson for the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) Ahmed Khalifa al-Shami said his side has laid siege to Jebel Kalugu, a mountain in Blue Nile state held by the SPLA-North rebel group.

SPLA-N spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi earlier claimed SAF was repulsed from the mountain, which Ahmed denied. Jebel Kalugu is located south of Blue Nile state capital Damazin and is sacred to some members of the Ingessana tribe.
