Sudan Appeal group rejects preparatory meeting with Khartoum govt before final peace deal

The Sudan Appeal group says it will not participate in any preparatory meeting unless the Khartoum government declares ceasefire to allow humanitarian access in Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile States.

Khalid Omer, deputy chairman of the Sudanese Conference Party (SCP) and member of the Sudan Appeal force stated they previously agreed to have one stance to participate in the proposed preparatory meeting with the government.

Omar pointed out that the Sudan Appeal force in its recent meeting decided not to attend the preparatory meeting stipulated in the African Union roadmap for peace if the Sudanese government does not want to sign a final deal to end the ongoing war and allow humanitarian access in all the conflict-affected areas.
