Hundreds of local residents in Al-Mazmum locality in Sudan’s Sennar State protested outside the office of the state governor on Monday over continued basic service delivery delays in the area.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday, multiple eyewitnesses said the protesters called on the state government to renovate the main road that links Al-Mazmum locality with neighbouring towns.

The same eyewitnesses pointed out that the protesters criticized the commissioners of Al-Dali and Al Mazmum localities, while calling on the government to annex their locality to Al- Tadamoun area in neighboring Blue Nile.
