The population in al-Ketira area east of Abu Jubeiha in Sudan’s South Kordofan State have been living in fear and panic due to shelling by the Sudan Air Force in the area, according to local sources.

Sources told Radio Tamazuj military aircraft dropped four bombs in an agricultural project in al-Ketira area which caused the farmers working in the field to flee.

“Government air force has shelled an agricultural project in al-Ketira area and terrorized the people,” one source said. Even the Commissioner of Abu Jebeha was forced to hide in the military base in the area, he said.

A military team from the military base which was reportedly sent to collect the bombs have collected only four bombs but did not manage to collect another bomb which was still unexploded.

The local population mentioned that the bombing has caused fear among the people.
