The Sudanese Air Force has bombed an area near Kadugli town in Sudan’s South Kordofan State over the weekend, in spite of a six-month unilateral ceasefire declared by President Omar al-Bashir.

Multiple sources from Kadugli town told Radio Tamazuj that two MiG jets dropped bombs on Um Sirdiba area in the southeast of Kadugli town on Saturday afternoon.

 “Last Saturday around 12:30 pm two MiG aircrafts carried out two rounds of shelling, one was on Um Sirdiba area and another around was around 3:00 pm on Um Dorain and Atmur areas near Kadugli “one source said.

Separately, Kadugli’s main healthcare centre has reportedly run out of medicines. Citizens told Radio Tamazuj that the facility’s administration often advises patients to buy drugs from elsewhere.

One of the complaining citizens pointed out that prices of medicines are soaring at the market and that malaria drugs cost more than 30 SDG.
