At least four people have been killed and seven others wounded in Kadugli of South Kordofan as the SPLA-North rebels attempt to disrupt Sudan’s elections.

Radio Tamazuj yesterday reported that two women were killed and four others wounded in a bombing by the SPLA-N at Hai Talo in Kadugli town, but the correct figure of the people killed was since revised from four to two, according to a local source.

The source said three women and a man were killed, while two men and five women sustained injuries. The wounded were taken to Kadugli Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, clashes were continuing between the government forces and the SPLA-North rebels at Suk Al Abassiya until midday yesterday, according to the same source.
