Thousands of people forcibly displaced from Bau in Sudan’s Blue Nile State are reporting mounting tensions with local community east of Roseires.
A local source told Radio Tamazuj that the native admintration of the Rufain and El Kinana tribes in Roseires locality banned the internally displaced people from carrying out their normal business activities and closed all shops and butcheries.
The native administration requested that the displaced people should be evicted from their land, prompting the displaced families to inform the local authorities.
Roseires locality commissioner reportedly intervened. However, the tension is still rising between the local community and the conflict-affected families from Bau Locality.
