One person was reported killed and 17 others injured in clashes between nomadic Arab tribes of Al Jamoiya and Al Hawawir in a village south of Omdurman town Monday morning.
The clashes between the two tribes began with a dispute over land and pasture.
A source told Radio Tamazuj that the clashes lasted for two days. Meanwhile, Khartoum media reported that the police failed to control the situation prompting Omdurman commissioner Al-Yasa Al Sadiq and Khartoum state minister of physical planning to rush to the scene to restore order.
