A source told Radio Tamazuj that Red Sea University students in Port Sudan organized a protest but they were forcibly confronted by security forces, causing injuries among the students.

Meanwhile, students of the University of Shendi organized a sit-in since yesterday morning after they had gone for demonstrations on Sunday.

Students of the Faculty of Pharmacology at the University of Khartoum also organized a protest yesterday outside the medical complex in protest against the arrest of some students by security agents.

Other sources said the security service launched a campaign of arrests among members of the Khartoum University Alumni Committee. Mohamed Farouk, a leading member of the Sudanese Alliance Party was among the arrested university graduates.
