Hundreds of students living in the UN camp in Malakal on Friday went on a peaceful demonstration against non-payment of teachers’ arrears in the camp.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, David Dak, one of the teachers in the UN PoC in Malakal said teachers hired by an international NGO operating in the camp have gone unpaid for seven months.

Dak explained that the students decided to demonstrate against non-payment of their teachers’ salaries, saying the students want to continue their education smoothly.
