A student was shot and killed in Abassiya Tagali area in Sudan’s South Kordofan State by a pro-government militia, a traditional leader said.
The traditional leader who preferred anonymity told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that two members of a pro-government shot a student in the area. He further said the wounded was taken to Abassiya Hospital for treatment, but died after three days.
The native administration leader pointed out that they also identified other members of government militias who were behind last week’s attack on Al-Sanadra village. He stressed that the perpetrators should be brought to justice.
The local leader pointed out that the national government assured them that it instructed security agents not to associate local residents of Abassiya area with the SPLA-North rebels.
