One boy was killed allegedly by his mate last night in Hai Sika Hadid in Aweil Town, leading to the arrest of the suspected killer, according to a senior police official.
The chief of the Northern Bahr al Ghazal Criminal Investigation Department Colonel Philip Madut confirmed that the murder occurred last night after a dispute erupted between street children. He added that the accused was arrested and is now awaiting trial.
A group of boys were walking near the railway, when “there were disagreements among them and one of them took out a knife and stabbed his colleague,” said Madut.
Madut advised parents and the government to take care of children because they could turn to gangs otherwise.
