Stranded South Sudanese in Sudan’s El Fula Town appeal for transportation

South Sudanese citizens stranded in El Fula town, the capital of West Kordofan State, have complained about what they term "maltreatment" by the Sudanese authorities.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Angelo Kuol, representing the stranded South Sudanese said that more than 100 people are still in El Fula, in deteriorating humanitarian conditions, waiting for transportation organised by the South Sudanese government.

Sudanese authorities banned them from registering their children at schools and prohibited them to go to church on Sundays, according to Kuol.

The stranded South Sudanese appealed to the South Sudanese authorities and President Salva Kiir to transport them and their households “as soon as possible” to their states of origin.
