The Lol state government has dispatched a committee to review spending in Aweil from previous administrators, local officials tell Radio Tamazuj.

The governments of Lol, Aweil, and Aweil East formed a committee in January to register their assets after their state was split. 

It follows President Kiir's decison to change the number of states in South Sudan from 10 to 28.

A government official from Malual Centre said that the review does not mean the previous government did wrong, but rather its an attempt to learn from previous practices. The committee will be headed by the Lol Minister of Finance Willian Anyuon Koal.
