The sports festival for peace and unity came to an end on Saturday with a colorful closing ceremony which was held in Juba football stadium.

Among the dignitaries who attended the event was the first Vice President Gen. Taban Deng Gai, Minister of sports Nadia Arop Dodi, Kiya Masahiko Japanese Ambassador in Juba and the Norway Ambassador.

The closing ceremony was highlighted with the match between Rumbek and Aweil,in the match Rumbek defeated Aweil team by 2-0; Charles Bol Peter Rumbek’s player scored the two goals for Rumbek in the second half.

The sports festival is supported annually by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the aim of the festival is to spread peace and unity among the people in south Sudan through sports activities.
