The SPLM-N faction led by General Malik Aggar said the decision taken by Abdul-Aziz Al-Hilu, the leader of SPLM-N splinter group making changes in the army leadership, is negatively affecting efforts to reunify the movement.

Aggar said his group is now in consultative meetings to form transitional structures for the movement in a month’s time.

The move came after Abdul-Aziz made changes in the army leadership by promoting heads of divisions and units.

Agar’s SPLM-N spokesperson, Mubarak Ardol said in a statement that they will continue working on reforms and a wider consultative meeting comprising all SPLM-N leaders.
