SPLM youth wing plans nationwide mobilization

Emmanuel Lubari Joseph, interim chairperson of the SPLM Youth League allied to President Kiir, said his party plans to embark on a nationwide mobilization and recruitment campaign across the country in February.

Lubari was named by Kiir earlier this month as a provisional chairman of the SPLM Youth League succeeding Akol Paul Kordit.

Speaking at a news conference in Juba on Monday, Lubari said they will embark on mobilization, recruitment and training of SPLM youth in February.

He pointed out that the plan aims at building strong party organs to convene a national SPLM Youth League conference to elect a permanent body.

“We are guided by the SPLM principles, ideals and core valves so as to achieve the mission and vision of youth league interim body, and to establish a strong democratic and developmental state committed to the principles of good governance, transparency, accountability and fight corruption,” said Lubari.

The youth leader thanked President Kiir and the entire membership of the ruling SPLM party for appointing him as new leader of the SPLM Youth League.
