The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) has denied the rumour about the removal of SPLA-N Chief of General Jagot Mukwar from his position by the Nuba Mountains Liberation Council.

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N) has denied the rumour about the removal of SPLA-N Chief of General Jagot Mukwar from his position by the Nuba Mountains Liberation Council.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Sunday, Arnu Ngutulu Lodi, official spokesman of the SPLM-N, described media reports that Gen. Jagot Mukwar has been removed as false.

“The Nuba Mountains Liberation Council had conducted its meetings on 6 June and it had issued several decisions, so what is being circulated now is not true,” said Arnu.

He accused Malik Agar’s group of trying to circulate false information to create instability in the Nuba Mountains region.

Arnu pointed out that the SPLA-N Chief of General has not yet clarified its position on the removal of Malik Agar and Yasser Arman.
