The Sudanese People's Liberation Movement north (SPLM-N) claimed to have taken control of all areas west of Dilling in South Kordofan.

The Sudanese army claimed to take over the areas yesterday but SPLM-N spokesman Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said this claim was false.

'The government forces moved away from Dilling to an area west of the town and started shooting into the air against an imaginary enemy. They then moved towards Dilling inside the town fearing the arrival of our troops and started shooting to convince citizens and themselves that they had achieved a victory when the truth is we had taken control of that area, said Lodi to Radio Tamazuj.
