An official of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North on Friday blamed bombings by the Sudanese government for weak agricultural season in Blue Nile and South Kordofan this year.

Hashim Orta El Dou, a humanitarian official of the SPLM-North rebel group, claimed that citizens face acute shortages of seeds and agricultural inputs because the Khartoum government has been bombing the areas and denying humanitarian access.

The official called on international aid agencies to pressure Khartoum to allow humanitarian organizations to deliver assistance to people in the Two Areas before conditions deteriorate further.
