SPLM-N appoints new administration in ‘South Kordofan’s liberated areas’, Sudan

The President of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLA-N), Malik Agar, has formed a new “Leadership Council” in South Kordofan state.

Agar appointed Simon Kalo as chairperson of the Council as well as governor of the region. Suleiman Jabona Mohamed was appointed as deputy governor and Amar Amun Daldoum as the SPLM-N Secretary -General of South Kordofan’s liberated areas.

The SPLA-N president is likely to reshuffle the Blue Nile state administration soon. The establishment of “national and regional “liberation councils” is planned too.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, the spokesperson of the SPLM-N in South Kordofan, Jatiko Dalman, said that constitutional transformation will be the main priority.

The SPLM-N intends to enlighten the people on the “Transitional Constitution of 2013”, the High Command and the Leadership Council passed unanimously. Therefore, Dalman noted, the Movement arranged for civic education trainings on the 2013 Constitution, targeting youth, women, and civil administration employees in the “liberated areas of South Kordofan”.
