Charles Wani Pioneson, one of the officials of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition in Canada has changed his allegiance from the faction allied to the former vice president, Riek Machar, to a faction under Taban Deng Gai.

Charles, according to the resignation letter extended to Radio Tamazuj said he decided to join the faction under Taban to promote peace and end the suffering of the people. “I have decided to join the SPLM/SPLA-IO under General Taban Deng Gai to promote peace and end the suffering of our people”, said Charles. He continued: Struggle for Peace continues and victory is certain.
