South Sudan army spokesperson Lul Ruai on Tuesday said that they have not receive official instructions from the government to expel Sudanese armed movements from South Sudan.

Some north Sudanese rebel groups are sheltering on South Sudanese soil, in spite of a 2012 agreement between the two Sudans that says that neither country should harbor rebel groups hostile to the other country.

The Sudanese government recently revealed that they received promises from the South Sudanese First Vice President Taban Deng Gai during his visit to Khartoum that his government will expel the Sudanese armed opposition from its territory within 21 days.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Ruai said that the statement made by Gai during his recent visit to Khartoum was political.
