Lul Ruai Koang, the spokesperson of South Sudan’s army (SPLA), has called on the Green Hill School administration to contact him over a report that soldiers looted the school and later blocked efforts to renovate it.

In a statement, Koang asked the school to contact him to solve the issue of renovation.

“The Principal/ Headmaster of above mentioned school should contact the Office of SPLA Spokesperson to amicably solve the issue of renovation reported by Radio Tamazuj,” the SPLA Spokesperson said on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

Green Hill School was looted by SPLA soldiers after the SPLA-IO base in Juba came under attack by SPLA soldiers on 8 July.

Some western parts of Juba were hard hit by fighting and looting. “They looted everything in the school and school documents were scattered everywhere,” a source said.
