Some SPLA soldiers seriously beaten a student of Bishop Abangite College last Wednesday in Yambio, a local Catholic radio station reported.
Paul Peter Wasi fell into the hands of SPLA soldiers in Ikpiro area on his way back home from the school.
A cleric associated to the college, Fr Joseph Migid Principal, called on soldiers not to arrest youth and children indiscriminately, saying the beating of Paul Peter Wasi was sad news to the school and to parent.
Yambio Mayor Daniel Badagbu Rimbasa has condemned the incident and urged security organs to investigate and interrogate any suspect first before coming to conclusion.
SPLA have not commented on the incident.
