One refugee was confirmed dead after he was shot by an armed man in Gorom Refugee settlement along Juba-Yei Road, sources said.
The incident took place after a gunman believed to be SPLA soldier opened fire on a refugee who was identified only as Ochalla from Ethiopia.
The incident occurred yesterday Thursday at around 7PM.
The Ethiopian Anyuak refugees fled their country following the massacre of 2003 in Gambella.
Officials have this week announced closure of Juba-Yei road following heavy fighting that erupted in Juba on 8 July which left about 600 hundred dead according to officials. Houses and property were also looted including humanitarian aid warehouses.
