SPLA-North says it ambushed government forces in Blue Nile state

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Arnu claimed that they managed to destroy two vehicles mounted with heavy weapons and seized a number of pieces of military equipment.

“After we destroyed the two vehicles, we found two machine guns, RPG7 and 9 Kalashnikov guns,” he said.

He said an unknown number of government forces were killed and one SPLA-North soldier was wounded. Radio Tamazuj could not reach government officials in Sudan to confirm Arnu’s account.
