The Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) launched an attack on a Sudanese army position in Bau Locality in Sudan’s Blue Nile state, according to spokesman of the rebel group.
Arnu Ngutulu Lodi released a statement on Tuesday saying they inflicted heavy losses on the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) and killed four soldiers and wounded another eight.
Lodi admitted that they lost two soldiers from their side, adding they seized foodstuffs and ammunition.
He further revealed the SPLA-N forces have been monitoring the movements of the Sudanese army in Blue Nile State.
Radio Tamazuj could not reach the SAF spokesman El Sawarmi Khalid Saad to comment on the claims by the SPLA-N rebels.
Last month on 20 June, the SPLA-N claimed to have destroyed a Sudanese army convey heading toward Bau Locality, besides killing of five soldiers of the Fourth Division.
