SPLA-N accuses Khartoum of bombing civilians in Um Dorain

The Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) said Tuesday that the Sudanese Air force launched fresh attacks on civilians in Um Dorain area in South Kordofan.

In a statement obtained by Radio Tamazuj, SPLA-N spokesperson Arnu Ngutulu Lodi said an Antonov aircraft dropped seven bombs on Karkarai village on 26 October.

Lodi said the bombing resulted in the wounding of two civilians, besides damage of properties and farms.

He accused the Khartoum government of torching farms in order to force local residents to desert their areas of origin.

Radio Tamazuj could not reach Sudanese army spokesperson El Sawarmi Khalid Saad to comment on the claims.
