The SPLM-In Opposition accused the Juba government of obstructing humanitarian access for conflict-affected people in Koch County of South Sudan’s Unity state.

Gideon Gatpan, Director of South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Agency in Nairobi, told Radio Tamazuj that they observed movements of government forces at the Thar Jath oilfields. He alleged that those troops were planning to attack an airdrop of food for internally displaced people who had fled from clashes in Koria area of Koch County.

Gatpan said such a move would be a gross violation of the humanitarian access agreement signed with the government in Addis Ababa.
