Kajo-Keji County Commissioner Luka Yombe said that the commissioner of Kangapo County and three of his security guards and a car driver were abducted by gunmen allied to SPLA-IO troops in Yei River State on Sunday.
Luka told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that Commissioner Julius Tabule was abducted by the SPLA-IO rebels in Bori Payam during Sunday worship services at a church in the area.
Yombe explained that the commissioner was kidnapped together with his bodyguards and that they were taken to an unknown location towards Morobo road. He pointed out that the relevant authorities couldn’t apprehend the kidnappers.
For his part, Narji Roman, the SPLM-IO spokesperson, claimed responsibility for the abduction of the Kangapo county commissioner. Roman posted on his Facebook page that their forces managed to capture the commissioner in Bori Payam.
