SPLA-IO General Patrick Ohiti has denied that he accepted to join Kiir’s national dialogue, affirming his continuing loyalty to Riek Machar.
This comes after government officials in Imatong, one of South Sudan’s newly created states, said the armed opposition under the overall command of General Patrick Ohiti accepted in principle to join the national dialogue.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, Gen. Ohiti said that none of his forces have joined the opposition.
“This is not true. This is the governments’ allegation and propaganda. There is nothing like that. No soldiers under my command that have joined the government, I am in the opposition and I am with my forces,” said Ohiti.
