SPLA-IO accuses govt of arresting members in Upper Nile

The SPLA-In Opposition has accused the South Sudanese government of arresting three members of its advance team and two aid workers at Malakal airport on Monday morning on their way from Juba to Pagak through Malakal.

Col. William Gatjiath Deng, the military spokesman of the SPLA-IO, told Radio Tamazuj that SPLA forces first held their forces for three days to prevent them from coming to Juba. However, Gatjiath said the opposition members were arrested again at Malakal Airport.
