Col. Philip Aguer, the army spokesman, denied mobilization of SPLA around Longochuk County in order to attack rebels in the direction of their headquarters at Pagak.

“That report is false, there are no preparations of the SPLA in those areas,” he told Radio Tamazuj.

He also denied mobilization in the Ayod area of Jonglei State. “There are no movements in the Ayod area, the situation is normal and the SPLA are remaining in the town and the rebels are in the areas outside Ayod.”
