The Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) has confirmed the resignation of Lieutenant General Thomas Cirillo Swaka from his position as the deputy chief of general staff for logistics, according to a press release seen by Radio Tamazuj.
Brig. Gen. Lul Ruai Koang, spokesman of the SPLA army, said that Thomas Cirillo did not follow military chain of command to tender his resignation.

“Findings of the Investigation Committee conducted indicated that Lt. Gen. Thomas Cirilo was personally and deeply involved in numerous malpractices in his capacity as the Deputy Chief of General Staff for Logistics,” partly reads the press release.
