SPLA accused of killing two people in Abyei

A prominent Misseriya leader has accused South Sudan’s army, the SPLA, of carrying out frequent attacks on the area of Tiok, east of the disputed town of Abyei, and of recently killing two people and injuring others.

A prominent Misseriya leader has accused South Sudan’s army, the SPLA, of carrying out frequent attacks on the area of Tiok, east of the disputed town of Abyei, and of recently killing two people and injuring others.

Adam Abdel Rahaman al-Radha, also accused the force in his press statement of looting Misseriya property.

He added, however, that members of the Ethiopian peacekeeping force pursued the perpetrators on this recent instance and arrested twenty people believed to be involved.
