Thousands of South Sudanese and Sudanese refugees in Kakuma Refugees Camp in Kenya said the recent food ration cut is affecting many families in the camp.

Thousands of South Sudanese and Sudanese refugees in Kakuma Refugees Camp in Kenya said the recent food ration cut is affecting many families in the camp.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj from the camp during the distribution of food on Tuesday, some refugees said many people are starving due to insufficient food.

The refugees called on the United Nations to intervene by restoring their normal food ration.

The World Food Program announced on Tuesday that they have cut the refugee food ration by 30 per cent for more than 400,000 refugees at Kakuma Refugees Camp due to insufficient funding.
