South Sudanese refugee killed in Sudan’s White Nile
A South Sudanese refugee was on Tuesday killed at Al-Ridais 2 camp in Sudan's White Nile State, a camp leader said.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, camp sheikh Thabo Kuopben said 20-year-old Ngor Obuony was stabbed to death at the refugee camp by a Sudanese man.
He pointed out that the incident occurred as Ngor returned from a sports field, adding that the motive behind the killing is still unclear.
The camp leader said Ngor, who later succumbed to his wounds at Kosti hospital, was buried on Wednesday morning.
He said police arrested the perpetrator who is due to face justice.
Police authorities in White Nile State could not immediately be reached for comment.
