The commissioner of Al Fardous Locality in Sudan’s East Darfur state says influx of South Sudanese refugees into their state continues after the outbreak of fighting in Raja County.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Hamdan Adam Al-Bushra said the influx of South Sudanese refugees who come from Western Bahr el Ghazal State is still continuing. He revealed that a new refugee camp has already been established at Sindaira area in al Fardous locality.
The local official pointed out the camp accommodates the South Sudanese refugees, saying some NGOs came and helped them with food and tents.
Raja County has witnessed heavy fighting recently between the government forces and armed groups. Many civilians were forced to leave their homes amid harsh humanitarian conditions
