An apparent government supported rally to be held by a section of national youth union seeking to celebrate the victory of the United States president elect, Donald Trump, has been abruptly postponed.

The group said they could not hold the rally due to lack of funds. But many say it could be due to a public outcry questioning the rationale behind the decision to celebrate a victory of one of the political parties in another country.

Some argued doing so would amount to partisan politics and may undermine future relationship with any succeeding administration.
