South Sudan will continue to operate on last years budget until the new fiscal year’s budget as been finalized, according to a senior government official.
Michael Makuei said that the delayed implimentation of South Sudan’s peace agreement and introduction of the transitional parliament was the reason behind the delay of the parliament.
Recently, the Minister of Finance said that all government payments would be cancelled because of a combination of a lack of money, and an effort to reduce corruption.
